How to set Reverse DNS with Hosting Bot, LLC Print

All products offered by Hosting Bot, LLC are capable of managing and creating their own PTR/RDNS requests. To do so, please follow the instructions below:

Dedicated Server and Colocation Customers

1. Navigate to https://dedicated.hostingbot.net
2. Log in and select the service you want to set
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the dashboard
4. Enter your designated rDNS setting in the Reverse DNS section and submit.
5. Please allow up to 24 hours for the setting to fully propagate.

For Virtual Servers/Virtual Dedicated Servers

1. Navigate to https://node2.hostingbot.net:4083
2. Log in and select Reverse DNS on the left side bar
3. You can view what IPs currently have a PTR record assigned to it and remove any record from this screen
4. To create a record, select Add Reverse DNS
5. Click the IP address drop down menu and type the full IP you want to create a record for
6. enter the desired PTR name in Domain Name and click "Add Reverse DNS".
7. Please allow up to 24 hours for the setting to fully propagate.

Example: Please set the following rDNS record for 123.456.789.0 to example.hostingbot.net
